Help beating this freaking addictive game.

Hi, so i got this map a few days ago and i cant get passed level 66 on begginer. I usually use storm/ice with the +40% experience guy and i need some help.

is there a certain way is hould place my towers?
what towers should i get?
how can i get more gold?
how many towers are enough?
whats this whole deal about upgrading towers?
do towers stack? (like putting the same tower inside the same tower)

and a few more once i think of them

1) Every position has its advantage. Try which is best for you.
2) That's your personal decision. We want to allow different strategies.
3) Save gold and you'll get more interest (5% ?) at the end of each round.
4) That depends on you combination which you want to play. You could focus on 1-3 towers or you could build more with synergy effects. You have to find it out for you.
5) In Upgrade mode you could upgrade your towers with a specific element level and creep level. But in Random mode you have to get the tower upgrades in your stash and put them into your old tower to upgrade them. If this tower is of the same family you get 100% gold back else only 75%.
6) No towers doesn't stack but the oils applied on your tower stay.

what about random with upgrade? and what if i put different tower types inside each other?

When you give a tower item to a built tower, the built tower gets replaced by the tower from the item and you get refunded 100% gold of the built tower if both were from the same family, or 75% gold if they were from different families on complete random and random with upgrade mode and 50% on build mode which is not yet implemented.

what do you mean same familiy? like storm, ice etc. or like tower, shrub etc?

Look at the YouTD stats page. For example this is a family. Family members has always the same element and rarety.

Try to build as much towers as necessary but not as much as possible.

can anyone give me tips on where exactly i should place my towers? this is different from normal TD games and i think im doing it wrong lol

My suggestion is to view some replay to see how others are playing their game. Check the other thread for posted replays.
