There are a lot of uncommon tower with units in their models at the moment. I think there shouldn't be too much of these towers because towers with units in them look better than other towers. If we use only very simple unit models it think it's not a problem but keep the more advanced unit models for the rare and unique towers! Thanks!

Perhaps u can post some links, so we know which "better models" youre talking about?
Apart from that unit models are used in every rarity at the moment. I know geX want unit models only be used in rare or unique towers, but so much models are fitting really nice to the common and uncommon unit ideas. So where is the boarder? Whats a "better model", and whats just a simple one?

I made this topic to discuss these models. I think no common towers can have unit models and uncommon towers only very simple unit models. Common towers with unit models:Uncommon towers with unit models:

The longer i think about this topic, the more i get in the completly other direction. Follwing idea (has nothing to do with a TD): A solider is a "unit" and very weak A tank is a "unit" and stong A missile silo is a "building" and very strong.
Considering the fact fixed strutures are assoziated with more damage output i think it has to be the other way round: units for common/uncommon and builings for rare/unique towers. I feel units are weaker, then buildings...
So i think its okay if we use units and buildings for every kind of tower as long as the model fit the rarity. A paladin should be a common tower and a soilder should not be a unique one.

As long as the same model is used in the family line - ex: embershell, that should be okay. If each tower in the family is using a different model, then yes that could become a problem for the common and uncommon towers Quote: but i think it looks too good for uncommon I don't see anything wrong with having good looking common or uncommon towers, just as long as the common and uncommon ones are clean and simple (not too many doodads/moving parts)
