A natural wonder, once lost to the sands of time, has re-appeared harnessing a spiteful vengence.

Abilities
Eden ' s Wrath
The garden uses half of the stored lifeforce to create a huge explosion, dealing [current spawn level x 15] spell damage in 1600 AoE for each lifeforce stored.

Active ability:
Cooldown: 10 sec
Range: 800
Essence of the Mortals
When the garden kills a nature, orc or human unit, its lifeforce is captured in the fountain. For each lifeforce stored in the fountain, the garden deals an additional [current spawn level x 2] spell damage on attack. Maximum of 5 stored lifeforce.

Level Bonus:
+1 maximum lifeforce
Specials
+50% dmg to nature
+50% dmg to orcs
+50% dmg to humanoids

This is the discussion thread for the tower update Garden of Eden (891).
This tower is an update to Garden of Eden v9 (id:495)

Creator's comments for this update:

Changed tooltips, tweaked abilities, lowered abil factor.

Abil factor is calculated with level 80, stored lifeforce 10.

i never fully understood the tower. so i ask here. on kill it takes a soul which deals bonusdamage on the coming waves. but if i activate the ability i lose half of them?
so i guess it's only useful against mass?

Not really, it deals decent spell damage if you just save the lifeforce.

The problem is with such a low ability factor I don't see how it's going to get kills. Perhaps if the nuke had lower damage based on souls but more base damage? Something like 2400+(8xLevelxSouls)?

Most of the ability factor is from the spell damage on attack, actually.

I didn't think the nuke should require very much ability factor, because if you use it, you lose a significant amount of DPS on every attack afterwards until it's full again.

IMO this tower needs a buff. The nuke should do more spell damage, like x20 spawn level. Since it's a garden maybe add an entangling roots ability. I suggest increasing the spell dmg/attack to 3x spawn level.

Is the +1 life force for level bonus +1 every level, so you can get +25 life force at level 25?

Edit: level 360 x 20 x 30 life force (max) = 216,000 spell damage at level 360 with max life force. I don't think this is op because the golden queen with 1 million gold does 40,000 spell damage base. After a few seconds the golden queen overtakes this garden even with x20 spawn level/30 life force nuke.

This tower deals enough damage. The active is a bit weak because it removes half the stored lifeforce but the passive spell damage bonus is extremely strong. You have to consider 3 things:
1) This tower attacks ~26% faster than a Golden Queen (= 26% more damage)
2) It deals 50% extra damage to 60% of all enemies.
3) It does not need any gold to get strong (it needs only 30 kills and level 25). It will not be possible to get 1 million gold in the next version (at least it should be really unlikely).

What do you mean by 50% extra damage to 60% of all enemies? I thought spell damage isn't affected by the tower's damage type (essence, decay, etc)?

I've tested this tower in games and it's always overshadowed by your other carry towers. If you're using a stalker and you get garden of eden, the garden will take forever to accumulate 30 kills. For this to really be a strong tower, it would have to be your main carry tower, and I feel it's nowhere near strong enough for that role. If I replace my carry with garden I start leaking waves.

It deals 50% extra damage to 3 of the 5 races.
The only problem is to get a few kills (5-10) until it can deal nice damage. If you always play with one physical damage carry it's hard to get those kills but if you use your oils wisely you can get 2-3 carries (especially attackspeed oils are often wasted because the attackspeed already hits the cap).

This is not a good phys carry, never gets any kill, hence is never used.
The way it gets charges should be completely changed to make it become a good spell carry,
or at least a decent spell tower.

I dont know what kind of event could give it charges, but not kills by itself, doesnt work...

This tower is pretty weak. Maybe up the cap on the lifeforce? Or maybe give it an aoe attack?

What spell damage on attack? The one you never get without kills? The ones you never make with low abil factor?
I think this tower's concept is hopeless, and that it's easier to revoke it than try to buff it.
